Alright now. The most important thing for a children book is to make a character that kids can relate to. For example, Little Bill and Franklin are always getting into some trouble. They’re always having adventures and eating snacks with their friends. So make a character or a group of them that are always having fun adventures and then later have snacks with them. Name the character after your child or younger sibling. However, for now let’s name him, Max. Now the next thing to do is describe to the readers what Max is like. Tell them what’s his hobbies are, what’s his favorite food, how old is he, does he have family and friends, and much more. Again your younger siblings or kids pick the character is like. Make him sound like a kid. For example, Max is five years old and he’s into skate boarding and soccer. He can do tricks that kids his age only dream about. He loves getting into mischievous things. The next step is what’s the plot of the story? Is Max on an imaginary adventure where he fights aliens from another planet then later on becomes friends with them, is he on verge from saving his parents from a mad scientist, or his he helping his mother make cookies or a cake, or something else? For example, Max and his mother were in the kitchen making dinner when suddenly five skunks dressed as ninjas stormed into the kitchen with carrot shaped swords in their hands. After all is done, time for the title of the book. Make the title be related to the book and don’t make the title on your own. For example, Max the Five Year Old Superhero! Finally, after you and your younger siblings or child finish making the book, the best part comes. Get it published! Also put the young child’s name for the author. This might be the building block for the child’s future. And watch if the book is real good, you guys can continue doing it making it a family tradition.
